Free Concert! Jazz Quartet

We will focus on the music of Ella Fitzgerald and talk about vocal jazz improvisation, swing era music and its transition to jazz as America’s popular music. We will also touch on producer/civil rights activist Norman Granz who helped propel Fitzgerald’s career.
