Young Peoples’ Concert

For the past 17 years, the Symphony’s free Young Peoples’ Concert has been performed for all fifth grade students from New Britain, Berlin, Plainville and other surrounding towns in Welte Hall, Central Connecticut State University.

This season’s l8th YPC, to be performed on April 8, 2015, will bring the total of young people reached through this unique educational experience to over 26,000.

Concert program to include:

Fanfare for the Common Man – Aaron Copeland
Overture to Candide – Leonard Bernstein
Variations on a Shaker Melody – Aaron Copeland
Transcendental Cakewalk – Robert Carl
“Cool” from West Side Story – Leonard Bernstein
Harry Potter Symphonic Suite – John Williams
Star Wars – John Williams
Stars and Stripes Forever – John Philip Sousa
